Jayne Klemthe is a Order of the Brothermark Cleric
Biography
Tough as old boots. She has had to be, for serving as a battle-cleric in the Paladin orders of Basilea is highly unusual for a woman.
The youngest of seven, she learned the hard way how mean her six older brothers could be, and how nobody treated her with any respect. Her future in Basilean society was predictable and mundane. Fuelled by injustice and the calling of the Shining Ones, she strived to overcome the adversity and misogyny in her life.
Having trained as a battle sister in Aneria, she requested to join the newly formed Order of the Brothermark, far to the north, who reluctantly accepted her appointment. Eighteen months into her placement, her company was almost wiped out in a fearsome ambush by demons in The Warden Lands. Left to roam the wilderness, she found her way to Zantaporte to rest and recuperate. Still fiercely strong in her faith, and jaded by the hidebound nature of Basilean society, she now offers her spiritual and martial services to groups of adventurers – those free of obligations that only answer to themselves.
But unlike many sell-swords who squander their gains on gambling and drink, any bounty Jayne makes is diverted to the poor, in the name of the Shining Ones.
