Hrrath Flamespitter, also known as Hrrath the Salamander Fighter, is a salamander ex gladiator.
Biography
Salamanders are hot-blooded creatures in the most literal sense, their very bodies emitting scalding vapours and their weapons channelling fiery energies with which to smite their foes. Hrrath is no exception, having a fiery temperament to match his given name.
His brood slaughtered in a great battle, Hrrath was captured and used as a gladiatorial slave for the entertainment of a cruel master for many years. Winning his freedom, he found that he could not return tohis home and so made a life doing the only thing he knows how to do – fight. As a mercenary, he is a tricky proposition – undeniably effective as a fighter but prone to lose his temper with often unpredictable results. It is a testament to the former that so many choose to risk the latter.
History
Battle with Grug the Troll
Kapoka having tracked down the tribe that had attacked his forest, discovered a portion of the tribe in the far west, in the heavily forested hills of the successor Kingdoms, near the city of Valentica.
Kapoka then employed Hrrath Flamespitter along with the dwarf Guraf Dammerson, and the Naiad Demon Hunter Arianya.
After a long and protracted fight, they were able to clear the various barracks of green skins and confront the being now leading the tribe, Grug the troll boss.
Battle with Thrundak Skullsplitter
Thrundak Skullsplitter had made enemies, in particular a human settlement in need of a band of hero’s to fight their cause. Hrrath Flamespitter joined up with a band of heroes that been recruited by a local village to extract a merchant (Pietor Grube) from the orc’s lair, and so he set off with Kapoka, Thesilar the elf and Guraf Dammerson.
They were led into the warlords lair at Penn-Scarr. When the merchant was freed and the orcs treasures found, it was Kapoka that urged the others to continue in and confront the orc. That confrontation ended in Kapoka taking his revenge in a way only a being of his size and strength could. Suffice to say Thrundak never desecrated another forest again.
