Svereg is a member of the Free Dwarfs and the Ravenbolt Clan
Biography
The Ravenbolt Clan has lived in the Halpi Mountains for countless centuries. Countless to humans of course, but time is not so fleeting to a dwarf. When the Rift opened under Halpi, the region was overrun with the dwarfs’ dark cousins, the Abyssal Dwarfs. Goblins and Ratkin took advantage of the conflict and waged their own war, deep underground, in the mineshafts and chambers of ancient dwarfen holds, and in tunnels of their own making. Svereg’s clan hold was besieged from above and below and held out for three months before the pressure told and the defences were overrun. Svereg and his band of rangers escaped to Helgarth, where he was born and still had some kin.
Seeking revenge on the ratkin War Chief that had taken his home, Svereg and his team infiltrated the nest and hunted the rat commander back to his lair. Beset on all sides by ferocious ratmen, Svereg was the only survivor when he confronted the rat chief. After a vicious battle, Svereg overcame his great foe. The nest fell silent and the rats shrunk away, unsure of what to do next. Before they had time to overcome their nervousness, an exhausted Svereg slipped away, swearing to return again.
Svereg now hones his skills and shares his knowledge of tunnel fighting with adventurers and sell-swords. One day, when he is ready, he will rebuild his clan and retake his family hold.
