About
The League of Rhordia as a whole invests more money and time in training than many other human kingdoms, however, boasting a higher quality of soldier than the average. Security of its citizen is paramount, therefore the city militia is well maintained and equipped and as part of their training they serve time in the professional standing army employed.
Long arms such as spears, halberds, and other polearm weaponry dominate the front lines of the Leagues army. The League has several alchemy and Science colleges that refine metals that the smiths use, to ensure the best weapons and finest edges are in the Leagues hands.
The colleges and universities combine Science and technology with magic. Rarely, a wizard will ask his or her duke for the honour of bonding with one of the majestic winged aralez, so that they may soar above the battlefield, and judge where their magical assistance can best be utilised.
The Church of the Children is the spiritual focal point for the League’s soldiers to rally around. The Churches Battle Shrines combine innovative and experimental weaponry from the College of Warcraft with blessed standards and soul-inspiring iconography.

Despite the investment in blackpowder weaponry, crossbows are still frequent due to their reliability. Vast herds of horses are bred and trained for use across all of its states, for travel, work, and war. The chestnut or deep brown warhorses are common for the leagues knights, except in Eowolf where the dukes personal guard and the warrior monks favour the white warhorses, while the barons knights ride black roans or dapple grey mounts.
Aralez, often mistaken by the ignorant for chimerae, are large dog like creatures with healing abilities. Fiercely loyal they are bonded to their champion, and will serve them till they die. If the aralez champion dies before them, they will return to live out the remainder of their life in solitude. On a rare occasion aralez are born with wings, they become the dominant leaders of the pack. Binding with these winged aralez is tough, but rewarding once successful.
