Story

In the Shires, a local milita group has been assigned to guard one of the secret cache of weapons hidden throughout the countryside, with this one hidden inside a barn.

A Halfling Wild Lancer, Rodrick, after chasing his undisplined Aralez, Jasper, accidently ends up inside the barn and discovers the cache's contents including three Ej Genadiers suits.

Meanwhile, Gristle, who is under the instruction of King Groany to obtain a Greniadier suit from the Halflings, begins an attack on the weapons cache after observing some suits being stored there a few days eariler. With a full regiment of Sharpsticks, a load of Spitters and two hidden Mincers hidden in the forest behind her, Gristle attacks and the Halflings guarding the barn prepares to defend.

With two troops of Wild Lancers and a regiment of Spearspikes under the command of Arthern, the Halflings charged at the Goblins only to be blindsided by the two Mincers coming out of the forest which slammed hard into one of the Wild Lancer units. The unexpected Mincers caused Rodrick to try to stop but he fell to the ground and Jasper was killed.

Distraught, Rodrick ran back to the barn and put on a Grenadier suit, declaring what happens next in Jaspers name.

Lore Trivia

Inconsistanices

  • The cavalry unit is referred to as Wild Runners however in Part 3 Dellen was holding a spear meaning the unit should have be referred to as Wild Lancers as Wild Runners held ranged weapons such as bows and rifles. This was due to beta testing for Halflings where Wild Lancers were called Wild Runners as they cover both Melee & Ranged types. This was changed at official release and split between Wild Runners and Wild Lancers.
