Xirkaali Empire is a far-away empire which not much is known however they have made contact with the Twilight Kin (as revealed in 3.5 - Clash of Kings 2024). They are suspected to be not human or of a race that is commonly known. It was founded after the subjugation of the kingdoms of Xiryan, which formed the Xirkaali Empire
About
The Xirkaali Empire is located in the East and have been travelling West, seemingly fleeing from an unknown threat. The Tetsumo Shogunate are further east, beyond the Xirkaali Empire borders.
"The very wise believe all of these odd happenings to be linked. The coming of an old god, the rise of Mhorgoth the Faceless, the weakening of the elven Ways… all seem to coincide with the supposed threat from the east. Most recently, a dwarf fleet found itself embroiled in a desperate battle against the salamanders – but these creatures were unlike the salamanders of the Three Kings. They came from a far-off land, and all the dwarfs could glean was that they were fleeing from something. A force the likes of which had never been seen before, against which magic is no surety. The last survivor of the Salamander fleet said just one word before succumbing to its wounds. “Xirkaali.” "
History
The Twilight Kin have established emissaries in the courts of the distant east including Xiryan and studyed the mystic knowledge located there. They were witness to the subjugation of the kingdoms of Xiryan and the founding of the Xirkalli Empire. The Empire has been moving West which put them at odds with the goals of the Twilight Kin
