Crossbow Block are a ranged Infantry unit of the Kingdoms of Men faction that was introduced in the Kings of War 2.1 - Uncharted Empires 2nd Edition Rulebook supplement book.

About

The Successor Kingdoms are the homes of engineers and wizard-scholars, and their armies often reflect this.

The venerable bow is the most common ranged weapons in human kingdoms, although some human rulers equip their troops with crossbows, trading tactical flexibility for hitting power.

The unit was reintroduced into Kings of War – 3rd Edition Rulebook in Kings of War 3.1 - Uncharted Empires 3rd Edition Rulebook for both the Kingdoms of Men and League of Rhordia factions

The city militias and castle guards within the League favour the punch of a cross-bow over the bows employed by the halfings.
