In 3865, Dinnidek Daamuz, who was now Lord of the surviving Clan Daamuz members who left to Rhyn Dufaris, was once again listening to the demands of an envoy from the Gollach Empire demanding more taxes and food. With the help of his personal bodyguard, Tordek, the envoy made it clear that the clan was to give up a fifth of their harvested food despite refusing begin the campaign to take back Halpi, seemingly giving a false promise to begin the campaign next year and left. Frustrating Dinnidek.
A short while later, at the Ale House, Daerun Daamuz and Felwyr were drinking during their lunch break along with a few other members of their clan, having a good laugh in the process. Dinnidek and Tordek arrived, offering the next round of ale. Tordek told Daerun what happened with the envoy, pointing out the false promises and Dinnidek response which revealed that Daerun had won their bet, seemingly predicting the envoy messaging. This reaffirmed their plan to return to take Llyngyr Cadw, with the help of Clan Helgwin who have held out in Crafanc for the last 10 years. With the information provided by Rhyss and the aid promised by Anfynn Helgwin, the plan was to relocate the whole of Clan Daamuz to the island of Innyshwylt to avoid backlash from the Golloch Empire (who forbidded any attempt to retake Halpi) then land on the Dewbrock Plain to establish a beachhead to join up with the Clan Helgwin forces. The only problem was the lack of support from their sister, Diessa, who had become the clan's stone priest which is the clans spiritual leader since the passing of thier mother, Brohna, which they needed before beginning their plan of attack.
Diessa Daamuz was busy repairing recently damaged holds from a recent storm with Veit, the Daamaz Clan's Master Engineer, and summoned earth elementals including Joro. After working until the dinner bell, Veit snapped her out of her trance and viewed their work of the newly built longhouse. Her brother, Dinnidek, approached shortly after complimenting them both along with Joro and asked to speak to Diessa alone to discuss some clan matters. Veit took his leave and the siblings walked to the nearby wood line. Dinnidek told Diessa about the meeting with the envoy including the demands requested of them. Diessa hoped that Dinnidek would rethink his plan, however instead they began to argue. Eventually, Diessa agreed to support Dinnidek as long as he promised that he didn't put his personal honor and pride above the clan.
Meanwhile in Llyngyr Cadw, the abyssal dwarf Alborz had become lord of Llyngyr Cadw and had held that position for the last 10 years. Alborz had become bored and wished to return to Tragar, wishing for glory and to become a high lord of the Abyss. Alborz informed his Iron-caster brother, Zareen of this plan with the intention of Zareen to take command over the hold. Despite this being abnormal due to Zareen being an Iron-caster, it was agreed and preprations began.
In the Dewbrock Plain, Rhyss' rangers (around 29 rangers including Banwn and Meick) were preparing for the invasion on road to Llyngyr Cadw. Over the last few months, the rangers along with Kilvar Helgwin's rangers from the Clan Helgwin, had been planting supplies for the journey to Llyngyr Cadw after the Clan Daamuz arrive and estabish their invasion beachhead. With the invasion beginning in 30 days, the Ryhss and his rangers are attempting to push the nearby Abyssal Dwarf and Ratkin Slaves forces north then doubleback to join the invasion force once it lands.
Back at the Clan Daamuz settlement along the shores of High Sea of Bari, Daerun, Dinnidek and his bodyguard Tordek, were inspecting the armada of ships, a combination of Pirate and Free Dwarf trade ships, that had arrived at their harbour in preparation for the invasion. Dinnidek expressed concern to Daerun regarding hiring pirates, however Daerun dismissed his concerns highlighting their past help with providing supplies to the Helgwin Clan in Crafanc. While on their way to the lead captains ship, they came across the Green Wyverns who were a Sharpshooter mercenary group led by Rorik Baranu hired by Daerun. Rorik reaffirmed the Green Wyverns agreement with Daerun to Dinnidek while boasting about their ability. Continuing on, eventually they reach the lead ship and Dinnidek calls out to an orange bandana wearing ogre (Sunny) who he believed to be captain. After confusing Sunny for the captain and Moon, who was in the crows nest, calling down to Sunny to point out the error, Captain Saorsi eventually came out and introduced herself and her crew (including Arvind) to the brothers and welcomed them aboard the Maiden's Revenge. They discussed the plan of attack including sepa of ating the siblings onto different ships and practicing the landing at Innyshwylt, near the temporary camp established by Clan Daamuz where the clan has relocated to. Captain Saorsi reaffirmed her loyality and promised to not go back on her word.
Back at Llyngyr Cadw, Zareen is taking a bath and contemplating about becoming the lord of Llyngyr Cadw with himself. Zareen considered the postives and turning Llyngyr Cadw into the hub of arcane lore where other Iron-casters would pilgrimage to. Eventually, Alborz arrived unexpectedly and reported that another orc patrol had failed to check in which is the 3rd patrol they have lost over the last 10 days. Zareen intended to double their patrols in response however did acknowledge that it couldnt be Helgwin Clan as they had them encircled by their forces, though did know they were smuggling in food. It also couldnt be the Worm Lord, a local leader of renagade dwarfs, due to only two of the patrols being located in the west and one which was lost 5 days ago was in the east which wouldnt be possible for only one group to be the cause. Zareen suggests sending forces towards Crafanc along with Halfbreeds and Gargoyles, think that the Helgwin Clan had snuck out their forces and wanted to push them back in. Alborz agreed except insisted that the gargoyles to be sent out to sea to find the smuggling ships and stop the supplies getting to Crafanc. Zareen hesitantly agreed and the brothers agreed to discuss a plan to finally take Crafanc once and for all.
At Innyshwylt, the Daamuz Clan were practicing their invasion techinque. Daerun was practicing along with some of his warriors including Felwyr with the assistance of Moon. In their longboat, they sailed towards the beach and attempted a beachlanding which did not go as smoothly has they hoped with one falling into the water, nearly drowning. Dinnidek had greater success with his group, which didn't please Daerun as he lost his bet between the brothers. On the shore, Daerun told Felwyr to take the men back to camp while Diessa and Veit approached after they had watched the practice invasion take place. Veit noted how long it took from the ships to the shore, with Daerun agreeing they would make easy targets. As they talked, Dinnidek and Tordek approached, joining the conversation. It was agreed they would reinforce the landing longboats with additional shields and dispersing the Green Wyverns throughout the fleet to target any Gargoyles that may track them. The clan planned to continue to prepare for the invasion.
At the same time, Rhyss' and his rangers were continuing to draw north the Abyssal forces along Rimebrook River. They had set a trap through Rimethorn Forest and towards Mount Drohzon, the tallest mountain in the mountain range between Cwl Gen and Crafanc. After luring the halfbreed's that were giving chase into a cave in an attempt to trap them all there, the rangers moved deeper into the cave to spring a minor trap and prepared to pull the trigger. Unexpectedly, a rampaging Grotesque came through the enterance and charged, quickly causing Rhyss to trigger the trap, however it was unsuccessful in stopping the Grotesque. Rhyss and the rest of the remaining rangers, ran from charging Grotesque to an exit on the other end of the cave tunnels. Rhyss and his rangers all managed to slip out of the exit however the Grotesque was unable and was shot by the awaiting Rangers outside the exit, killing it. After processing the close call, Meick and Kilvar Helgwin came sliding down the hill towards Rhyss. Meick was sent to meet up wit the Clan Helgwin along with the reminder of Rhyss' rangers so he could tell them to change the rendezvous site to Mount Drohzon. Kilvar advised Rhyss of the Daamuz Clan's proposed landing site and they begin to head to the Dewbrock Plain
On a nearby mountainside, a lone dwarf watches the events of Rhyss and his rangers and heads back to the Worm Lord to report what he saw.
