They had set a trap through Rimethorn Forest and towards Mount Drohzon, the tallest mountain in the mountain range between Cwl Gen and Crafanc. After luring the halfbreed's that were giving chase into a cave in an attempt to trap them all there, the rangers moved deeper into the cave to spring a minor trap and prepared to pull the trigger. Unexpectedly, a rampaging Grotesque came through the enterance and charged, quickly causing Rhyss to trigger the trap, however it was unsuccessful in stopping the Grotesque. Rhyss and the rest of the remaining rangers, ran from charging Grotesque to an exit on the other end of the cave tunnels. Rhyss and his rangers all managed to slip out of the exit however the Grotesque was unable and was shot by the awaiting Rangers outside the exit, killing it. After processing the close call, Meick and Kilvar Helgwin came sliding down the hill towards Rhyss. Meick was sent to meet up wit the Clan Helgwin along with the reminder of Rhyss' rangers so he could tell them to change the rendezvous site to Mount Drohzon. The Daamuz Clan's forces began their journey from Innyshwylt to the Dewbrock Plain landing site, however 4 days out they were discovered by the Gargoyles that Alborz suggested sending out to sea. The next day, 3 days away from landing, while Rorik and Captain Saori were talking on the deck of the Maiden's Revenge, the fleet were attacked by the Gargoyles in their attempt to gather more information to report back to Alborz. Despite there best efforts, 2 to 3 Gargoyles managed to escape and fly away which told the Daamuz Clan that they have been found out, making the landing even harder.
That same day, at Llyngyr Cadw, after the Gargoyles return, Alborz was listening to his slaves sing while he was in deep thought looking at a battle map laid out in front of him. Alborz was considering his options regarding his final assault on Crafanc and the Helgwin Clan. Zareen entered and updated him on the return of the Gargoyles from the raid on the Daamuz Clan's invasion fleet. Alborz and Zareen come up with a plan to trap the Helgwin Clan and Daamuz Clan inside to Crafanc by removing their ships and destroying their provisions after they empty their ships.
2 days before the invasion landing, Dinnidek formed a war council consisting of Dinnidek,Tordek, Daerun, Rorik, Captain Saori, Diessa, Veit and Sunny, It was agreed that despite being tracked by the Gargoyles, the invasion was to proceed in the morning landing on the southern part of the Dewbrock Plain with the Maiden's Revenge providing as much fire support as they can while the longboats disembark to shore, noting that Rhyss and his rangers should be there providing support against the Abyssal artillery.
Meanwhile, Rhyss' and his rangers including Meick were resting with Kilvar, his mastiff Boon and the Helgwin Rangers by telling stories around the campfire. They find out the Abyssal forces that were sieging Crafanc were moving towards the landing site of the Daamuz Clan, knowing that in 2 mornings the invasion will begin and will continue to follow the Abyssals to the site.
The morning of the invasion arrived and the clan's forces had arrived at the Dewbrock Plain, beginning their assult. Dinnidek's landing party, including Tordek, took on the southern shore which was held by Slave Orcs and Daerun's landing party, including Felwyr, took on the northern party which was held by Ratkin. The crew of the Maiden's Revenge (including Captain Saori, Sunny, Moon and Arvind) were providing covering support to the invading forces along with Rorik and the Green Wyverns. Diessa was aboard the Celestian's Smile, led by Captain Therngeld, along with Veit and the commander of the Ironcald onboard, Bruon. Captain Therngeld was attempting to get the Celestian's Smile closer to shore to allow for the landing party to get to short quicker when it was hit by Abyssal Dwarf artillery, injuring many such as Veit and killing Therngeld. Diessa summoned Joro to push the broken Celestian's Smile to the shore. At the same time, Rhyss' rangers including Meick and Banwn were creeping through the woods towards the Abyssal Dwarf artillery along with the Helgwin Clan's rangers led by Kilvar due to being delayed by Halfbreed patrols on the way to the invasion site. After hearing the Celestian's Smile getting hit by the artillery, the rangers charged at the artillery and killing the crews.Captain Saori noticed Decimator's forming up to take aim at Daerun's forces who were currently engaged by Ratkin, setting up a potential slaughter on the Free Dwarfs unless she did something. Captain Saori quickly ordered Sunny and the crew to full sail and ran the Maiden's Revenge directly inbetween the Decimator's and Daerun's forces, beaching the craft in the process however blocking the Decimator's from firing on the invading dwarfs. Rorik and the Green Wyvern's began firing on the Decimator's with the ships cannons joining in shortly after. Morale broke and the Abyssal forces retreated. Finally the broken Celestian's Smile finally arrived on shore, with Joro's help however Diessa was unresponsive.
