Retaking of Cwl Gen
In 3865, he joined his fellow Free Dwarfs in The Retaking of Cwl Gen with Banick Kholearm with the assault being led by Lord Sveri Egilax. He gave the idea of creating three tunnels under the outer wall of Cwl Gen, setting charges in each that once ignited would cause the wall to fall down under its own weight with Lord Sveri Egilax distracting the enemy as the tunnels were being build. During the operation in building the tunnels he began speaking to a hallucination of Yorrin who was was a young mining colleague that had been killed in 3850 in the opening days of the abyss expansion.
After recanting recent events and issue with the Imperial Dwarfs and their efforts to retake what was lost from the Free Dwarfs, a Stone Priest by the name of Cwythn approached him and wanted an update on the tunnels, the vision of Yorrin vanished. Banick advised being an hour away from denotation and Cwythn sent a stone message (which was a bunch of images) via his Geomancy abilities to Lord Sveri Egilax to advised of progress, hoping it would be understood at the other end correctly.
After a brief discussion about Craggoth, a young dwarf quickly approaches both Cwythn and Banick about the other workers hearing notices in the tunnel, digging notices coming towards them and they hurried to the site. Cwythn confirmed with his Geomancy that its was Sappers aka Goblins heading their way.
Banick told two dwarfs to run and ignite the other two tunnels then arranged the workers in the last tunnel to make the final preparations at a quickened pace yet trying to stay quiet to not draw the enemy to them, however before completing as Cwythn was talking to Banick about how much time they had left the Goblins broke through. Once the dust settled and the two sides were face-to-face, one goblin threw down his touch onto a pile of dry hay covered in flamable sticky tar, setting off the explosives.
Cwythn died in the explosion however Banick managed to survive.
Post-death
Grodgni Baersk found Cwythn's body after the Retaking of Cwl Gen was won by the Free Dwarfs. Grodgni invited Banick along to Cwythn's burial and discussed Cwythn's life including his prayer book and his son, Anobreth, who supposedly died many years ago. Banick agreed to get Craggoth to watch over Cwythn while Banick left to go to Caeryn Golloch.
