Dianek the God of Earth

In the beginning there were 7 gods:

Dianek lived a solitary and mournful life. Hers was the earth and all that lay beneath it. As he would not be able to see them Bhanek had no interest in making creatures for beneath the earth. Shobik paid little attention on the Underworld, which ensured that time would drag their infinitesimally slowly.

With no light, the Underworld held no interest to Ohmpek. The Underworld was of no use to Lonok, as the depths drank light more deeply than the shadow Lonok could cast. Threnekka found Earth boring and only fit to wash away in slow erosion.

Korgaan just blew across the top of the earth without once touching it. While the other Primogenitors played with their powers and vying to outdo one another through the heavens, Dianek remained below and tended to her depths in solitude. Try as she might, she could not fashion sentient creatures from the clay and mud, though she could raise simple mindless puppetlike constructs of rock to do her bidding.

Her anguished sorrowful tears brought about the dwarfs, her fellow Primogenitors heard her tears and bestowed life and the gentlest touch of time upon them, giving the dwarfs their sturdy vigour and longevity.
