Jorden Talensen, also known as Ka’zal Kran, is an Abyssal Dwarf which first appeared in Kings of War Champions

Biography

Early Years

Ka’zal Kran is an Abyssal Dwarf who lives in Tragar. Since Ka'zal was a child he had shown a knack for engineering and metallurgy.

Living within the Gollach Empire

During the Invasion of the Halpi Mountains, Ka’zal began to spy on the Free Dwarfs by changing his identity to Jorden Talensen and intergrated into their society. This led to the newly named Jorden to travel with the Free Dwarf refugees to Abercarr after they were pushed out during the conflict.

While in Abercarr, like many within the Free Dwarfs, Jorden found work within the Dwarfs where he could to survive, specifically within the mines. He met and lived with Brock Brockersen in the refugee camps and saved Brock from a cave in by Jorden, resulting in Brock feeling like he owed a debt to Jorden.

Jordan did well within the Dwarfs and gained a reputation of an unequalled metalsmith. This lead to Jordan being assigned to the workshops due to Golloch’s demands for increasingly more powerful weapons, learning the engineering skills and complex designs of the Imperial Dwarfs as he worked, even helped repair Golloch's Fury. Despite Jorden being content with his work, resentment began to build within the Free Dwarfs refugees on how they were being treated by the Empire.

Jordan continued to work and requested additional shifts on the dry docks, eventually working on RuneAxe-class and Dreadnought-class ships leading to a habit of bringing ship bluebrints back to his lodgings.

Halpi's Rift

When Halpi's Rift began, Dwarfs were being sent into the Halpi Mountains to combat the growing threat of Dravak Dalken and the newly opened rift in Crag Hudd. Alot of Free Dwarfs were signing up to join as this was an oppotunity to return to their homelands including Jordan, despite still living in secret, as it would get him closer to his true home in Tragar.

Jordan joined a battalion which travelled to Rhyn Dufaris where he planned to head north along where he was intending to take everything he had learned in the workshops back with him however Jorden got swept up in the conflict occurring under the mountains. Despite the delay, Jordan was able to continue his journey home after the forces of good were victorious.

Joining the Northern Alliance

As Jordan travelled north, along with Brock, he met members from the Northern Alliance who spoke of Talannar Icekin and a great secret power in the ice that he was hiding. Jorden decided to journey back with the Northern Alliance to Chill, hoping to obtain the knowledge in the north along with Brock.

Once again, Jorden impressed with his skill in the metal trade, repairing weapons and armour however this wasn't enough to grab the attention of Talannar leading him no closer to finding the secret power which had been talked about. Jorden would then lock himself away in the workshops, refusing everything except the most basic rations and oddly a clutch of Frostclaw chicks. Eventually Jordan would emerge with Swoop, a mechanical Frostclaw, that he had built and requested an audience with Talannar, hoping this new invention would grant him an audience with him. The Witan, the ruling Northern Alliance council, refused claiming that Talannar was too busy for curiousities such as Swoop.

Jordan decided to prove Swoop's value in battle and, along with Brock, now travels the lands around Chill to fight anyone that is foolish enough to enter the lands of the Northern Alliance. Jordan hopes eventually this would lead to an audience with Talannar, the discovery of the secret power and eventually the return home to Tragar with this new found knowledge.
