About

He is duty bound to travel far from his home and family on the Three Kings on a secret mission for his people. He became a mage-priest as soon as he was old enough, attracted to the vocation by a combination of faith, and a driving desire to spend his life helping others.

He committed to a life with his mate as a young adult, and has three children who he writes to at every opportunity whilst on his travels. Driven by the financial needs of his secret mission, Z'akke took to barrowing, where he became acquainted with Thesilar Searite, Ragran and Aestelle.

Trivia

  • Z'akke was developed as a character concept by the author's son Leo, based on his own custom character in Dungeon Saga.
  • The story Hero Falling sees Z'akke abandon his comrades on several occasions to hunt for treasure. This habit was based on Leo's own propensity to do the same in the game Dungeon Saga, but after hearing that his character would feature in a novel, Leo decided that it was an interesting character flaw and having a secret motivation behind it in the story might add an interesting sub-plot.
  • Z'akke is scared of heights.
  • Although never explicitly stated, Z'akke was written as possessing many character traits associated with autism.
