Muster-master Aeron Cadwallader is a Halfling and is a senior member of The Shires miltary. Regarded as one of the best commanders ever produced in the shires and the youngest Muster-master ever elected by the Shires Assembly

Biography

Youth

When Aeron was 9, he attempted to join the local milita unit in Picksbury even though he was far too young to join. The older members kept Aeron around over the years assigning him to collecting and cleaning things. Eventually he was allowed to train with weapons but because the unit only trained a few times a year, he became interested in joining a mercenary company that the League of Rhordia would hire. Instead his father Howell Cadwallader used his connections to get Aeron enrolled in the College of Warcraft in Eowolf

Studies at College of Warcraft

In 3864, Aeron was enrolled at the College of Warcraft where he became close friends with Palle Gudmund. Over the next few years aggressive non-human policies began circulating and infecting the League and aggression towards "non-humans" grew this included his friend human friend Palle being attacked for just being friends with Aeron.

Beginning in 4th Cadet Company by 3866 Aeron had progressed to be in 2nd Cadet Company.

Two years after joining the College of Warcraft in 3866, while having a drink at the Green Gryphon Tavern he was attacked by some patrons who were upset over the recent increases in prices due to the increase on Shire-brewed ale. After being knocked to the ground and kicked, Aeron managed to escape after one of his attackers compared him to a Dwarf which caused a local group of Free Dwarfs to begin a brawl. He Left with a few bruises

Back at the College of Warcraft barracks, Cadet Palle Gudmund helped tend to Aeron's wounds. Palle was Aeron's closest friend at the College. Eventually Aeron went to bed, to be awoken the next day by Sergeant Osvald Rolf for role call.

In 3866, after The Shires increased their prices on trade as a result of the League of Rhordia increasing the toll they charge on the Tanmill Canal (year after year), wagon trains from The Shires began getting raided by Rhordian soldiers. Shortly after, The Shires formally withdrew from the League of Rhordia and Aeron was kicked out of the College of Warcraft for now being a foreigner, despite other foreigner's in the college being allowed to stay.

Travelling back to the Shires

After being expelled from the college, Aeron proceed to North Market Square in Eowolf while being constantly attacked and abused by the local human population. Eventually he made it to North Market Square and found a halfling wagon train of around 400 halflings preparing to leave led by Wagon master Trefor Trahern. Despite some of the shirelings disapproval of him due to his College of Warcraft and human connections, he joined the convoy as they left Eowolf for The Shires

While travelling he met Nesta Andras and her two children Elin Andras and Gethin Andras, offering a place to stay as they made their way to Ferchester in Hoddingshire. Aeron also bumped into Dilwyn Brynmoor who was escorting Paddy Bobart out of Eowolf in secret, as they had suspected that Duke Eowolf would attempt to sieze Paddy due to his extensive knowleage in war machines.

The next day after meeting Dilwyn Brynmoor and just as they could see the Eowolf Road Guardburg in the distance, the wagon train was approached by a couple hundard Rhordian cavalry led by Captain Lennart. Trefor Trahern sent Hefin ahead to the Eowolf Road Guardburg to get help and the wagon train prepared to defend itself.

The Wagon Train Attack

The Rhordian group was joined by another, resulting in over 200 cavalry, then they began to approach the wagon train halting about three hunderd paces from them. A small group split off from the cavalry group towards the wagon train carrying the sigil of Duke Eowolf that included Captain Lennart. They insisted to search the wagons for signs of contraband but Dilwyn Brynmoor worried they would find Paddy Bobart. Aeron came up with a plan to stall for time and told the wagon group to start stacking all the wagon contents between each wagon, effectively making makeshift barricades.

Captain Lennart began to get frustrated and insisted they handover Artificer Paddy Bobart.Trefor Trahern refused and Captain Lennart rode back to the larger Rhordian group to prepare to attack. Aeron quickly arranged the defences and used the wagon oxen to startle and break the Cavalry formation, buying more time. The Rhordian group reformed and attacked. The Eowolf Road Guardburg had been sending up smoke for about an hour when the attacked began indicating that their rider made it through. The wagon group continued to hold out after a couple of waves of attack from the Rhordian forces.

Artificer Paddy Bobart insisted to help, using his powers to break archer bows, disabling and confusing them. He also caused riders to fall off their horses and arrows to go into buttocks. Dilwyn Brynmoor and Aeron didn't know Paddy had these abilities. Eventually the Rhordian cavalry dismounted and attacked on foot. Aeron killed his first person during this hand-to-hand encounter while defending Nesta Andras with the help of Paddy Bobart's magic.

The wagon halflings managed to holdout long enough for the Eowolf Road Guardburg relief force to arrive led by Captain Conwy Macsen. The Rhordians fled. Captain Conwy Macsen got Trooper Lewys to gather the oxen to get the wagons moving again. The wagon group then gathered up their dead, 24 of them, and released the Rhordian prisoners which included Captain Lennart to follow after the rest that fled. Aeron found himself an unexpected supporter to release the prisoners instead of them being executed.

Captain Conwy Macsen advised that more Rhordians were coming and they got the wagons moving to the Eowolf Road Guardburg. Once there Aeron noticed how much it had changed since the last time he came through it two years ago on the way to Eowolf. The Rhordian group that were pursuing them halted about five hunderd paces from them and a small group split off from the group similar to what Captain Lennart did. They demanded Paddy Bobart but after being refused again did not attack and rode away.

The next day Aeron observed humans in wagons, similar to theirs, being escorted out of the shires being abused the same way they were. Aeron continued to stay close with Nesta Andras and her two children Elin Andras and Gethin Andras developing a friendship with them even offering Nesta help with finding a job with his father at Cadwallader & Sons. They continued to Hodenburg and arrived the following day.

The Journey Home

Aeron, Nesta Andras, Elin Andras and Gethin Andras stayed at The Blue Raven while in Hodenburg and Aeron attempted to get a job as an advisor with the current Muster-master. After visiting Ercwlff's Emporium and ordering some new clothes to be picked up the next day, he heard the town crier announce The Shires offically breaking away from the League of Rhordia. The next day he picked up his clothes from Ercwlff's Emporium and visited the Muster-master Headquarters, after a bit of waiting he finally spoke to Muster-master Dustin Rootwell. Rootwell declined his offer and told him to go back home to Picksbury

Aeron, Nesta Andras, Elin Andras and Gethin Andras proceeded to Picksbury and onward to his family farm. Nesta ended up getting a job at Cadwallader & Sons and lived on the farm. Aeron needed maps
