The Rhodian Raids were the first major incident of The Broken Alliance of the League of Rhordia conflict. Tensions began to escalate when the League of Rhordia started raids on several shire farms and villages near the towns of Yangmere,Ferchester, Hodenburg and Picksbury after The Shire's left the League of Rhordia

Aeron Cadwallader and Madoc Cadwallader signed up for Picksbury Volunteer Light Horse in response to their families farms being attacked along with their neighbours. Gwenith Parry, cousin of Madoc Cadwallader, also signed up who had an Aralez called 'Fluffy'.
Aeron Cadwallader was assigned as Quartermaster for the Picksbury Volunteer Light Horse unit. He was promoted by Captain Bevan Einion to Lieutenant shortly after due to his actions during the attack on this wagon train and protection of Paddy Bobart. He began training the troopers of Picksbury Volunteer Light Horse the next day to become a more organised unit. The actions during this time resulted in Aeron being promoted to Lieutenant-in-charge of training rather quickly.
The league soon sent their demands to the Shires Assembly in Hodenburg. The Rhordians demanded wheat, barley, oats, corn, potatoes, turnips, cows, sheep, pigs, ale, tobacco among other supplies by the thousands of bushels to be delivered yearly to them. They also demanded that the Guardburgs to be taken down along the shire borders, that the shires raise no military beyond whats needed to patrol their borders, they will be banned from making any war machines and raising/keeping any aralez would be forbidden. If the Halfling's yielded to these demands, the attacks would cease.
Despite having a fortnight to comply, these demands were rejected by the Shires Assembly and in response, The Shires began their own raids in League territory east of Ferchester in Eowolf terrority which involved the Picksbury Volunteer Light Horse. It is suspected that the lack of resistance from the League of Rhordia during The Shire's response raids was to gain additional support internally in the League for addition action against the shires.
