Bartolius, also known was Bartolius of Sinners Vigil, was an aged Basilean commandeer, charged with the command of Sinners Vigil.
Biography
Siinner Vigil is a watchtower that formed part of the network of such towers intended to forewarn the City of the Golden Horn of the approach of enemies. By the time the vile Necromancer Mortabris attacked Sinners Vigil on his way to attack the city, Bartolius has resigned himself to the fate of garrison commander.
The old man had dreaded battle for the past few years, and the cold and hunger associated with his post had added headache and loss of sleep to his sad state. Despite his age, Bartolius was still a sensible commander, talking of courage to his men and calmly armouring himself before Mortabris's attack, even though he knew his fate, and that of his garrison was already sealed.
