To be assigned a group of Naiads in his company was the final insult for Crokker - an insinuation that his Riverguard weren't up for the task of protecting Axel. He would be even more annoyed to learn that Medusa's Spears are constantly reporting back to the Trident Realm to inform them of Axel's progress and whether he could be a threat to the Realm.
