Zombies are the recently dead being brought back to life due to the presence of dark magic and they can come in multiple different variants.

About

As the undead army claims the lives of its enemies, the newly slain are reanimated into shambling zombies. The energy saturates their corpses, bringing them back from death even without the incantations of a necromancers.

These freshly raised corpses are Zombies. Their numbers grow exponentially during a campaign, as the bodies of felled enemy soldiers and civilian victims alike swell their ranks. Zombies travel in great swarms of grasping, biting bodies. They are drawn to death magic and so almost inevitably end up fighting alongside the armies of the undead.

These slow, groaning creatures are perhaps the most fearsome of all, for they are a reflection of the grisly fate that awaits each foe should they fall.

Worst of all, zombies are often animated before the soul has departed to the heavens, and thus the fallen mortal must watch on from behind dead eyes as they are forced to slay and devour their former kin.

Zombies can only be stopped by decapitation, or by destroying the brain, finally offering some release for the unfortunate soul trapped within the rotting body.

Other variants

Other variants of Zombie are:

Draugr (Varangur)
Zombie Human
Zombie Orc
Zombie Troll

Units including Zombies
