Stone Priests are outsiders, for their innate mastery of magic is treated with suspicion by all right-thinking dwarfs. In battle, however, they are capable of summoning and controlling powerful Earth Elementals to smash apart the dwarfs’ foes.

About

WIth the assistance of the Order of Stone ‘stonetouched’ dwarfs are taken to master the great secrets of stone so one day assume the mantle of Stone Priest. A dwarf finds kinship with those that understand him during this time and learns to control the elemental forces of the underworld and be a living echo of the mythic origins of the dwarfs.

Proper dwarf society will still fear and mistrust him but these feelings will be deeply couched in respect, for none can deny the great value such dwarfs bring to their realms in times of trouble

Addressing Stone Priests as 'Athro' is often used as a term of respect when speaking to one

Kings of War Appearances.

It was introduced in 1.3 - Hellfire and Stone near the end of 1st Edition. It was again included in 2nd and 3rd Edition however a variant of this unit was introduced with 3.0 - Uncharted Empires 3rd Edition Rulebook in the introduction of the Free Dwarfs faction called Free Dwarf Stone Priest (with only slight additions added)

2nd Edition

Within the Dwarf holds, Stone Priests are outsiders, for their innate mastery of earth magic is treated with suspicion by all right thinking Dwarfs. In battle however, they are capable of summoning and controlling powerful Earth Elementals to smash apart the Dwarfs’ foes.
