Serakina, also known as Serakina the Ice Queen, is one of the many legends of the north.

About

Invoked as a name both to frighten small children and to give heart to those whose courage may be failing, it is said Serakina is the blizzard personified.

Once a little girl, she became lot in the Winterlands during a snowstorm, and would have been a feast for the Tundra Wolves had the Shining Ones not intervened. now, she appears in times of desperate need, to aid the people of the north as the Shining Ones once aided her.

Nordgared is a land of legend and superstition, and with good reason. Beyond the walls of Chill, tiny settlements cling to survival in an endless winter, facing constant threats from raiders and monsters. The people of these villages and holds know all too well that one misstep, one failure of their strength, could doom them forever. But they know also that the gods surely smile upon them, for who else but the chosen few could survive in the land?

Halpi's Rift

Following the Defence of Chill, as the Abyssal Dwarfs withdrew their forces, they learned the hard way what it means to fight in the Winterlands. They had endured a trail of many sorrow, harried by northmen, beset by blizzards. When they thought the worst was over, Serakina came.

At the head of an army of beasts, she strode through the storms, skin white as snow, hair shimmering like ice. She brought with her the power of the elemental plane, and the spiteful wrath of the Winterlands.

This time though, when her work was done, she did not return to the embrace of the elements. This time she travelled with the Northern Alliance forces to Crag Hudd, and for the first time she left he north.

Below Crag Hudd, Dravak Dalken's control over the rift was now gone and the planes of existence winked in and out of life around them. Nimue Waydancer knew they needed to close the rift and as she was attempting to do so, Serakina emerged and attempted to use her ice magic to close the rift.

The room pulsed with power and a loud throbbing noise caused Nimue Waydancer to cover her ears, while the light cascading from the rift forced her to close her eyes. Where it had once been a large hole could be seen in the floor, Serakina had covered it by a crackling energy that had the appearance of shifting ice. The Nexus was closed.

Shadowed Horizons

Serakina sensed rip in the Void and sent Osian to investigate. After Osian saved Bretta Becken and Torick, Torick informed Serakina that the void gates that were being summoned weren't normal void cages.
