Torick and Bretta Becken and were keeping watch of the greenskin occupied city of Blackridge in the Winterlands. They watched as the Orcs and Goblins fought between each other below. Torick spotted an incoming blizzard and told Bretta that they should go back. The scouts pulled on their Frostfangs and began heading back.
On the way back Bretta asked Torick why didn't the Northern Alliance just attack Blackridge and drive them out instead of watching them all day and night. Torick replied that it was better to leave them there than waste the little resources that they had.
