Wyrms have been around since the beginning of Pannithor and are said to be the mothers of dragonkind, despite this they were considered clumsy and beneath contempt by Threnekka the God of Water and Korgaan the God of the Air.
This is why wyrm-tongue is spoken by dragons as they are decendants of wyrms
