Morning – The Southern Ramparts
Livli stood on the ramparts of Chill, attempting to stay warm as they kept watch. Hours passed, and idle chatter became heartfelt confessions, before settling into silent introspection. Livli knew that the enemy would be upon them soon enough, and then the killing and dying would begin.
Midday – The Inner Trenches
Snorii and Magnus were part of the team ordered by Prince Talannar to dig trenches and spike-encrusted embankments around Chill to help with the defence against the incoming Nightstalkers attack. As they worked a plume of red smoke began to rise in the distance. The enemy had broken through the outer watch-line, and time was running out.
Afternoon – The Western Courtyard
Britta was in the Western Courtyard of Chill guarding the food stores after the storehouse were emptied and converted into a barracks. Britta was guarding the limited foodstuff from thieves and anyone else trying to take the food without permission. She had been following a human thief who was attempting to steal some and threw her net to ensnare him.
The Human begged for something to eat and for mercy as Britta pointed her trident at him. She decided to aid the man and gave him food and shelter.
Twilight - The South-East Bastion
Lord Heandarak watched as the Nightstalkers battled the defences of Chill as they approached the gates. Lord Heandarak signaled the Ice Kin Bolt Throwers to prepare to fire. Suddenly the Nightstalkers stopped their attack and quickly left to the west, away from the city. Confused, Lord Heandarak looked around for answers then finally let out days of frustration in a blood-curdling howl.
