Picksbury Volunteer Light Horse is a halfling volunteer light cavalry and infantry unit based in Picksbury. There were alot of close relations in the unit which was very common in shire trained bands.
Unit details
Originally there was 200 or so soldiers in the unit. The unit consisted of:
- Two squadrons
- Four Troops units per squadron with 25 soldiers in each.Eight Troops units in total.
- Each Troop unit would have four 'comrades-in-arms' teams consisting of 6-8 troopers
The unit needed 37 tents to house them all (as an extra 4 were added for the Captain, Lieutenants, a cook for each squadron and the women). One hornist would be assigned to each squadron along with another to accompany Captain Bevan Einion
When the unit became the Pickbury Knights, it is unknown what the formation was.
History
The Broken Alliance of the League of Rhordia
The Picksbury Volunteer Light Horse unit was created in response to the raids on the shires by the league of Rhordia and were involved in all the major battles and events of The Broken Alliance of the League of Rhordia conflict.

After the raids by the League of Rhordia on The Shires the unit was formed in response along with several others. At this time Aeron Cadwallader (along with Wyn), Madoc Cadwallader and Gwenith Parry (along with Fluffy) joined the unit in Picksbury after the raids on the Cadwallader farms. Soon after the league sent their demands to stop their raids and the Shires Assembly rejecting them, the Picksbury Volunteer Light Horse were sent to Eowolf to begin raids in league terrority in response.
Post-The Broken Alliance of the League of Rhordia Conflict
Picksbury Volunteer Light Horse was dispersed back to Picksbury but remained on duty for the next few months. It is unknown if they fought in The Invasion of Rhordia by the The Abyssal Eyes (Riftforged Orcs)
