Korgaan is worshiped by the tribes of Varangur, fights the armies of the Wicked Ones and Shining Ones alike.
In the beginning there were 7 gods:
- Bhanek the God of Life
- Shobik the God of Death
- Ohmpek, God of Light and Raiser of the Sun
- Lonok, Queen of the Shadows and Bringer of Darkness
- Threnekka the God of Water
- Korgaan the God of the Air
- Dianek the God of Earth
Korgaan sends mighty winds to stir Threnekka’s oceans to a frenzy
Threnekka and Korgaan’s relationship was a playful one - Threnekka uses the wind to form gigantic waves and epic storms
Both were too wrapped up in their love for each other to care much for the creatures gifted to them by Bhanek, not the birds or wyrms of the skies or the beasts of the deeps.
Their tempestuous back and forth shaped the world forming some of the greatest lakes, mountains and rivers.
The only time Korgaan felt anything for anyone other than Threnekka, is when he heard Dianek's mighty sorrowful tears that formed the shape of a creature, hearing this the Primogenitors bestowed life, the slight touch of time and the Dwarven race was created. Longevity, sturdy and full of vigour.
The Var'Kyr were Korgaan’s first ancient and forgotten Human followers. When the Celestians first arrived on Mantica they set about defeating the terrible things that wreaked havoc across the land, including Korgaan.
Korgaan was worshiped by an ancient race known as the Var'Kyr, and his power comes from his worshipers, so the Celestians wiped this race out and sealed Korgaan away, leaving him to slowly perish as his power diminished from lack of worshipers. The most famous Var'Kyr was Herja.
Fading from existence, Korgaan began influencing the Varangur, he was able to stem this tide and began to recover his former power.
When the Fenulian Mirror was shattered, Korgaan was able to move more rapidly without worry since every other god was busy trying to win the God War. Korgaan began to appear to the Varangur in the shape of three divine beings: the Deceiver, the Reaper, and the Warrior.
Korgaan began to reshape their culture in the image of the Var'Kyr. The rest of the world did not notice this as they were embroiled in their own conflicts and Korgaan only seemed interested in having the Varangur run small scale raids into the south.
All of this changed when the Winter's War broke out.
Korgaan united them with a strengthened desire to wage war on the world, but divided them with a distrust of each other as they strove to seek approval from whichever face of Korgaan they followed, either way they were fighting for Korgaan, building the Gods strength.
Entombed, Korgaan commanded the Sons to break them open and perform a sanguinary ritual to infuse the captured gargoyles essence into the long dead ancient warriors, granting them live once more.
With his worshippers being at risk again in the fall out of the Winter's War, Korgaan expended most of his power to prevent their main settlements from being destroyed, in return he ordered then to take the fight to Tragar, in what is know as The Reckoning. Sor'ik'su was captured during The Reckoning, her fierce will and resistance took an age to break and such power and resilience was an ideal match for Herja.
Herja was once the ruthless leader of the long dead Var’Kyr. The Sons of Korgaan performed a ritual to fuse the remains of her body with the essence of Sor'ik'su, the bride of Ba’su’su.
Then came the Edge of the Abyss war.
Korgaan chose Magnilde to aid the Green Lady in her fight against the Wicked Ones during the Edge of the Abyss, Magnilde dropped the Eye of the Abyss, into the boiling depths of the Fourth Circle. Its destruction rippled through the Abyss like a beacon call to all its foul denizens, screaming for revenge.
Korgaan, showered Magnilde with gifts and praise. While Herja, had failed in her mission to stop an Abyssal assault upon the southern reaches of the Clans’ home range. Embittered and shamed by Korgaan’s immense displeasure and seething with envy, Herja plotted the assassination of her god’s new favourite Magnilde.
Herja surprise attacked Magnilde, with an epic battle ensuring, as the champions tired from exertion and their wounds, Magnilde struck Herja a mortal blow, releasing the Var’Kyr's essence from the prison of Sor'ik'su's body.
Seizing the one chance it had for survival, the soul of Herja called upon Korgaan to seek his forgiveness and extend her life. Laughing and relishing in the chaos his followers were enacting, Korgaan granted her wish and opened the ancient paths of the spirit world, forging a tunnel into the ailing body of Magnilde. Ecstatic with her god’s acceptance, Herja poured herself into her new host and both mortal bodies collapsed to the floor.
Magnilde opened its black, oily eyes and raised itself to its feet. Once more two souls had been merged, Magnilde of the Fallen was reborn.
