Gnaeus's Lions are almost as legendary as the great hero himself. To be chosen to serve in this cohort of paladin knights is a huge honour and there are rumours that Gnaeus Sallustis himself handpicks those to join its ranks. As a result, it is perhaps no surprise that a troop of the Lions has been selected to protect Alanis Sallustis. Although it may be more accurate to say they're protecting the Sallustis name, lest Alanis should fall in battle.
