In the Time of Light in Ahmun the Ahmunites flourished and prospered, and important cog in the southern regions, a great Empire, a prosperous, sprawling empire of merchants, art, learning and science, till the corruption of a warped idea set in.

The Ahmunites revered the dead and raised them to serve again during a rite known a Purification, but this was not kept to loyal warroriors felled in battle, but expanded into their slaves, with slaves bred for more undead slaves to be produced via Purification, orphaning children.

This continued becoming a necropolis-city where the dead outnumber the living, the city of Nehkesharr.

The a group of living fled the city and set up a new realm becoming the Ophidians. After time the Ophidians grew scared of the expanding Ahmunite Empire and unleashed a biblical plague upon Ahmunite, sandstorms and insects, stripping them to bone and driving them back into the wastes of the their broken crumbling cities, then scoured from the face of the world.

In doing this they cursed the Ahmunites further into perpetual undeath and unrest.

Driven by a willpower that conquered death itself centuries past, the Ahmunites fallen are almost unstoppable in their unquenchable wrath.

Great is their ire and the vengeance they exact on those who violate the Ahmunite’s domain.

It is through their will alone that the Ahmunites have endured their curse and remained to threaten the world with the reawakening the Empire of Dust.
