The Ghekkotah are either the evolution of a failed experiment by the Primogenitors or a shorter sub-species of the Salamander lineage, either way the Ghekkotah most closely resemble the now extinct Gheko race. Ghekkotah is one of four different types of Salamanders:

They were for whatever reason left untouched by the magic that changed the their Salamander kin, leaving them warm blooded.

Social beings found in large groups performing any task, they rarely venture into cities, preferring their own villages and collectives in the plains and jungles surrounding the Three Kings.

Extremely loyal to their reptilian kin, courageous and specialise in a variety of functions from scouting, riding large toads, or flying on the backs of jrooka.

Despite appearance they are warm-blooded and cool themselves in the pools and shade of the jungle canopies.

Alongside the Salamanders they perform their military training.

Ghekkotah that are hatched together or within the same family groups retain a fierce loyalty to each other throughout their life, and Clutch Wardens are the biggest and bravest among their siblings, tasked with the safety of the tribe.

They supply their villages by hunting and gathering from the jungles, and the hunting packs are too important to the survival of the village for too many to be sent off to battle.

The Hunters captured the mighty Slasher and trained it to carry a Ghekkotah crew into battle atop a bolt throwing wielding howdah.
