Warlock Nekhesh Venomclaw leads a floating Nest City

About

Perhaps surprisingly, in many parts of Pannithor, rats are seen as lucky charms by old sailors. After all, when rats abandon a ship, it’s usually because it’s sinking, so logic dictates that while there are rats board, the ship is sound. However, no one considers themselves lucky when the tattered banners of Venomclaw’s Py-Rats appear on the horizon. This vast, verminous flotilla has multiplied exponentially in recent years, as the chittering crews of former Ratkin slaves have themselves grown. Their leader, the verminous Warlock Nekhesh Venomclaw, has guided his Py-Rats to freedom and glory, to the point where the burgeoning fleet is so huge it is almost unassailable.

Vast numbers of sloops and boats drift idly around entangled masses of rotting hulks, the largest of which serves as flagship and floating Nest City to Venomclaw himself. Venomclaw has spent a lifetime greedily accumulating treasure, sifting through hauls of booty for magical artefacts, with an almost preternatural sense for prime arcane charms. He doesn’t always know what these trinkets do, but it’s almost certain that his uncanny luck and rapid rise to fame are down to his purloined knick knacks. His magical protection makes him bold, favouring conflict over diplomacy, and he has a seemingly endless supply of followers on rickety ships to send out to do his bidding
