Sands of Ahmun is a 2-Player Starter Set depicting a battle between the Empire of Dust and Ogre factions

About

This two-player starter is the perfect introduction for Kings of War – the mass fantasy battle game.

Sands of Ahmun is set in the parched wastes to the west of Ophidia, and lets players relive the battles between the evil Empire of Dust and tough ogre mercenaries hired to keep them in line!

Booklet

The attached booklet contained details of the two factions and Battle Groups

Disturbed by a growing menace in the east, the God-Kings of Ophidia have begun to muster their considerable forces and reinforce key positions at the Sentinel, Nem-krat and Nun-Pevet. Wary that their focus will be distracted, and that Ahmunite spies will be aware of any vulnerabilities on their shared border, the God-Kings have hired a number of mercenary companies to patrol and secure the edges of the Cracked Lands and the Wastes of Ophidia

Encouraged by the withdrawal of the usual patrols, garrison forces and desert tribes, Pharoah P'Toh-Hekk has turned his baleful gaze towards the east and has sensed the opportunity to capture land and punish his ancestral enemy. Raising his long dead warriors to fight at his side once more, P'Toh-Hekk and his raiders have been attacking border forts and guard outposts. Spurred on by the lack of resistance, he has begun raiding and destroying villiaged and the nomadic camps of some weaker tribes.

Alerted to the raids, the ogre warlord affectionately known as Headthumper has decided that finding and defeating P'Toh-Hekk sounds alots more fun than hot, sandy desert patroling and is exactly what he's being paid for. Bored with a lack of action, Headthumper has personally decided to leave his company with his second in command, while he leads a small band of trusted warriors in a search of a good scrap. And if he can capture some ancient Pharoah's treasure along the way, then the victory cigar he has planned will tast so much better.
