Giant as a unit was first introduced in 1st Edition for the Orcs and Goblins which has continued on throughout 2nd and 3rd Edition.

In 2nd Edition, Ogres had Giants added to their army list and the Kingdoms of Men had this unit added in 2.0 - Clash of Kings 2019 with an additional giant variant called Colossal Giant added for all four factions.
