Per Vortlek was a Caravan Master for the Kingdoms of Men.
Biography
Pre-3501
Per Vortlek was leading a caravan from Ileutherin , along with several others including Mok, Eran, Weasel and Tolk, after completing some business there. They were being escorted by some Elves through the forest even through some members disapproved such as Mok.
After three days of travel, they once again stopped to rest for the night, under Per Vortlek instruction, for rest. The caravan group settled in for the night including singing songs around the campfire, including one from Mok. Just as Mok finished, a group of voices from outside the group which seemed to soothe the listeners into a trance. This was shattered when Mok kicked pots at his feet, storming off into the dark of the woods, which snapped the group out of the trance they had fallen under. The singing faded shortly after and the group settled in for the night.
The next morning the caravan continued on its journey however Eran felt something strange and different, which the rest felt too. The caravan were prepared for something however unsure to what. Suddenly the Elves who were escorting them, signalled to stop which the caravan did. Eran noticed it was abnormally silent all around them. Suddenly, an Abyssal Halfbreed emerged and killed one of the elf escort then wounding the other which caused the rest caravan group to rush to defend themselves. Eran drew his weapon however before he could attack, Mok engaged with the Grotesques however Mok ended up getting his skull crushed. As the rest of the group began to move towards the creature it fled and in the progress took out Eran's father. Eran jumped onto his horse and gave chase.
Per Vortlek wanted to continue on however Eran's father ,who had survived the attack, convinced him to wait for Eran to return. Eventually Eran was returned by the Fey.
