Only the bravest and most virtuous amongst the young acolytes are given the honour of carrying into battle one of the holy icons of Basilea.These take many forms, from golden statues of a saintly hero or heroine of history, to the battle flags of renowned regiments.

1st Edition

Only the bravest and most virtuous amongst the young acolytes are given the honour of carrying into battle one of the Holy Icons of Basilea. These take many forms, from golden statues of a saintly hero or heroine of Basilean history, to battle-flags of renowned regiments. In all cases these hallowed icons provide great inspiration to Basilean troops. They also make tempting targets for enemy heroes in search of glory, which often means the role of Icon Bearer becomes very dangerous, but the young heroes still seek out this position of great responsibility and prestige.
