Warriors, also known as Ogre Warriors, have been a Large Infantry unit for the Ogres faction since their introduction in Kings of War 1.0 - Kings and Legends supplement book.

They have been included in every version of the game, orignally called Ogre Warriors then changed to Warriors from 2nd Edition in the Ogres Unit List.

As each Ogre is the survivor of a brutal childhood in the frozen north. They are natural warriors, used to hunting giant beasts and defending their family group from all manner of threats. Once recruited by an Ogre captain at the yearly Ogre Thing, an Ogre brave will be given more advanced weapons training and taught battle drill,turning an already formidable fighter into a deadly,monstrous soldier.

Ogres are extremely strong and so carry heavy swordsand shields. His armour in the north is generally of toughhide, but once he joins a mercenary band an Ogre willspend his first few months pay on proper armour of thick iron plates – all provided at a reasonable price by his captain, of course.
Some of them favour huge two handed weapons they call Orc Cleavers, which, whenbrought down hard on the skull of an Orc generally tend to live up to their name. The veteran mercenaries of Mosfitt’s Iron Hammers use their trademark weapons to crush their foes’ skulls, making sure they are well andtruly dead.Almost as offensive as the Ogres’ weaponry are their musical instruments.

Drowning out the rallying soundsof enemy musicians, the Ogres’ war-pipes were thoughtat first to have been crafted purely to wage sonic and psychological warfare. However, expeditions into the Mammoth Steppe have revealed these unrefined and cacophonous pipes are also used at social gatherings- to a cultured ears of Elves a small Ogre weddingwould sound as horrendous as a mercenary band on the warpath.
