Lucky Konstantyn
About
Born to a wealthy Basilean family, Konstantyn was always the black sheep – a no-good gambler and dilettante, living ever in the shadow of his devout and storied older sister, Abbess Petrynia, a famed naval commander who met her end in battle aboard the Gur Panther Enduring Grace. As sole remaining heir, Konstantyn gambled away the family fortune, until he accrued such debts that he was forced to flee the Golden Horn aboard a stolen ship.
A life of piracy suited him well, and soon, through sheer dumb luck, he became one of the most feared pirate lords ever to ply the Infant Sea. He was once struck a glancing blow by a cannonball, shattering his jaw, and yet continued the fight, claiming the prize ship for his crew. With the booty he earned that day, he bought an entire set of gold teeth, and paid a wizard to place a glamour upon him, making him more handsome and dashing than ever, and sealing his reputation as the luckiest pirate alive.
Now, he commands the Golden Comet – a modified Gur Panther – in honour of his late sister, though the theft of such a blessed vessel has seen him named Heretic Excommunicate by the Paladin Orders. Should he return to Basilea, it will be under pain of death, and yet deep down Konstantyn harbours impossible ambitions to restore his family name. To this end, Konstantyn seeks a pact with dark powers, and there is nothing he would not do to achieve his goal
