The Passing Years is a short story that was released during the road to Kings of War – 4th Edition Rulebook about Orlaf Skull-Splitter who is a Human from the Northern Alliance and the Dungeon Saga series.

In 3870, Orlaf Skull-Splitter arrived back home and ate his supper which was still hot. Orlaf reflected on his current older age and thought about his past companions of Rordin, Madriga Starrekin and Danor. Orlaf also remembered how fame and wealth had changed Orlaf from what he was until Clarion found him at his lowest point. Clarion brought Orlaf back to the Northern Alliance.
After the Defence of Chill, Orlaf Skull-Splitter spoke to Talannar Icekin and requested to retire from the frontlines which was granted. Orlaf joined the Witan and would lead the household protection for the White Pylon which housed the Shining One Azuon, also known as The Oracle.
Orlaf Skull-Splitter snapped out of this thought by his bride-wife Brigga who had arrived home. Brigga then flirtatiously led Orlaf to bed.
