In one of the many hillsides in Pannithor the Ratkin were in an all out battle with the Abyssal Dwarfs, pushing them back up the hill. One such Ratkin warrior was Vol’rikk, who was called into the fray to protect the Tangle, its elite protective detail having been butchered by the Abyssal Dwarf Overmaster Braz’izaraz and his Decimators.
An epic battle ensued between Vol’rikk and Overmaster Braz’izaraz, Vol’rikk received fresh permanent whip lacerations across his muzzle.
Vol’rikk drew on his utter anger and hatred of the Abyssal Dwarfs and the memory of how they treated him, using all that hatred fueled him to not feel the pain of the whip, not to cower, but to attack and tear the throat out of Braz’izaraz.
By the time Vol’rikk has finished tearing, clawing and biting Braz’izaraz into many pieces the remaining Abyssal Dwarfs were retreating with the loss of their leader.The Tangle declared him Vol’rikk the Unfettered their new War Chief.
