Mikayel, Lord of Nightmares bears the Sword of Umbra, a blade said to slay not just the body of all it strikes but to wither the soul to ashes as well, an object of dread for many, in particular the most dedicated servants of the Shining Ones.
The Sword of Umbra turns the victims of Mikayel faith against themselves, knowing that to die to this sword, they damn their souls to ash rather than their souls enduring for salvation or rebirth.
