About

These sleek ships are the pride of the northern fleets – large enough to trade blows with even a Basilean battle ship, but swift enough to break enemy lines and engage in close action before the enemy can react. Serpents are constructed with broad, shallow draft, giving them remarkable manoeuvrability, combined with a low silhouette to present a poor target to enemy guns. The secret to their success in battle, however, is magic. Each Serpent has a fossilised frostwyrm egg – known as a Rimestone – set into its keel, harvested from a secret location in the Drake’s End Mountains. The draconic figurehead draws power from this talisman, blasting the enemy with the icy breath of this legendary beast.
