"Look to the elves. As our oldest carvings tell - their creation was nought but fancy - a surprise kept hidden by what we call Bhanek, concealed from the other true gods under the Great Tree. What do they remember? Do they give thanks to that which bought them into this world? Or do they look to newer, shinier jewels - these so-called celestians? Nothing good ever fell from the sky.

Lest we forget.

Look to the humans. As our oldest carvings tell - their creation was nought but appeasement. Crafted in such haste, they will never know breadths of time such as we or the elven kin. They burn bright and quick, as a spark struck from an anvil. What do they remember? Do they give thanks to that which bought them into this world? Or do they look only to themselves, with affection and disdain in equal measure!? Their kingdoms fracture like shale - each generation undoing the wisdom of the last, without the breadth of years to remember.

Lest we forget.

We are of the earth itself! The great goddess desired only to bring life to the under-mountain - life into the deep! The first of us were the very rock itself, distilled over millennia from the tears of our creator. The sacred stalagmite embodies our Dwarfen kin. We make no decision lightly. We draw strength from our anchor in the depths, and we give thanks for our cover from the sky. In return, the under-mountain provides us riches, safety, security. Our goddess watches up to us and we strive to reach ever further down.

Lest we forget!"
