Elohi-class is a type of Main Ship in the Basilean Armada. It is one of the main ships in the fleet.

The Abbess-class was introduced in Armada Rulebook

About

Elohi-class frigate was named so because it was the first ever warship to be built with an area to secure holy relics actually incorporated into its design

Much like their namesakes, Elohi-class ships provide a light of hope in the darkest times. Upon the prow of each vessel is a heavenly beacon, whose blue flame burns for as long as the Elohi grace the Basilean fleet with their beatific presence. Only when the last Elohi falls in battle do the flames flicker and die – a very rare occurrence, for the angelic warriors of the Shining Ones are mighty indeed.

Some of these swift, manoeuvrable twin-masted vessels are doubly blessed by the Elohi, their golden chasings thrumming with the power of the aegis, turning aside cannonballs and even destructive spells.

Different Elohi-class Types

Currently there are only two known batches of Elohi-class ships.

Batch One
  • The vast majority of Elohi-class frigates are designated 'Batch One' hulls such as the Veneration, Vigil and Devout
Batch Two
  • A slight extension to the hull, allows the fitting of a third mast and slight increase in the number of guns onboard.
  • 'Batch Two' Elohi frigate is fitted with 36 guns.
  • 'Batch Two' Elohi vessels include Pious and the Virtuous

Whilst many Basilean warships carry holy relics onboard, the Elohi-class was the first to be designed from the outset with a dedicated compartment to house its relics. A prolific design, the Elohi-class is seen at both of the Basilean Navy's major Fleets; in the City of the Golden Horn and the Keretian Fleet naval bases.

Trivia

  • The Elohi-class is named after the Elohi race
  • In lore, the Elohi-class ships came in 'batches'. When Pious was released, a new stat card for the second batch was released also.
