Castus was an old miner from Astennes who joined Captain Dionne rebels.

In the Mountains of Tarkis, Phellius brought two men to Captain Dionne who had recently asked to join Dionne and his rebel's from Astennes. After questioning their motives, Dionne sent the younger of the two back home to his pregant wife, refusing his service however accepted Castus offer who was an older former miner who had lost his wife and son to an Orc attack. Phellius proceeded to help Castus settle in before returning back to Dionne's side.
Death
It is assumed Castus was killed in the Battle in the Fields of Emalitos along with the rest of Dionne's forces after being sent to attack the Basilean force by Teynne
