Beast Pack were introduced in Kings of War 2.0 - Uncharted Empires 2nd Edition Rulebook with the introduction of The Herd.
This unit was retired with the release of 3rd edition with Wild Gur Panthers being introduced as a similar unit

Lions, Wolves, Brocks and other beasts of the wilds, they are of the Mother and they all share a kinship with The Herd.
They will often aid them in hunting as well as in battle and occasionally will even allow themselves to be ridden by those they feel are worthy.
