The Assassin unit was introduced in 2.0 - Uncharted Empires 2nd Edition Rulebook continued until the end of 2nd Edition. There has been other factions with Assassin units in other factions like Twilight Assassin and Assassin (Kingdoms of Men)

The unit was replaced by Master Scurrier in 3rd Edition which is a combination of this unit and Scurriers. This unit is considered retired
