Death Engine is a retired Monster unit of the Ratkin faction that was introduced in the 2.0 Uncharted Empires 2nd Edition Rulebook supplement book.

About

The Death Engine are foul, noxious beings, infected with all manner of hideous diseases. They are accompanied by a sufocating miasma of pestilence which often assaults the enemy before the Death Engine even arrive.

• 2nd Edition - 2.0 Uncharted Empires 2nd Edition Rulebook

The Death Engine unit was introduced in 2.0 - Uncharted Empires 2nd Edition Rulebook continued until the end of 2nd Edition. The unit was not reintroduced into 3rd Edition and instead two new units were created, Death Engine Impaler and Death Engine Spewer.

There was also Slave Death Engine Impaler which was included with the Ratkin Slaves faction. With these 3 replacements, The Death Engine is now considered retired

A bizarre mix of arcane science and cunning sorcery, the Death Engine rumbles and grinds its way through the enemy ranks striking out with dark energies at those it cannot crush beneath its churning wheels and spinning blades.
