Zaz'u'szu, also known as Zaz'u'szu the Betrayer, was long tired of serving the Efreet, Zaz'u'szu had attempted to escape The Fourth Circle multiple times, each time he was thwarted and cast down once more.
Biography
There are those within the Abyss who dream of one day earning ascension to the next Circle., but are cursed never to realise that goal. A very small few succeed in this goal, by forming dark packs, betraying those around them, or, distinguishing themselves with such an act that the Archfiends themselves pay heed. Such was the way with the Warlock, Zaz'u'szu.
Over eons, Zaz'u'szu found others of his kind, and formed a secret society of Warlocks, a cabal whose ambition far outstripped their power, plotting impotently in the shadows. The Warlocks cabal felt the Nexus opening and urged Zaz'u'szu to open a portal to allow them all to escape, but Zaz'u'szu betrayed them all.
Using the power of the Nexus, he communed directly with the daemons of The Sixth Circle. Taken aback by the audacity and sheer power commanded by the Warlock, they humoured him, but Zaz'u'szu would no longer by taken lightly. Sacrificing his entire cabal, he drew their power and opened up a vast tear in reality, a portal anywhere. A mighty gift for the Archfiends.
Ba'el himself spoke to Zaz'u'szu, giving him a task before he would be granted ascension to The Fifth Circle.
