To the incomprehension of the elves of the south, none are more versed in this ice magic than Valellion himself who demonstrates this most directly in his command of Tyris’ Gate, the great blade of ice that cuts across the only land-bound route into his realm. Retracting only at Valellion’s will, this impossible barrier makes the Bitter Lands immune to invasion by land.
