Duma

The Basilean Duma is the governing body of the Basilean Hegemony and is based in the City of Golden Horn within the Quarter of Governance

Structure

The Duma is comprised of approximately 200 senators, all democratically elected, from across the Basilean Hegemony and typically from a noble or privileged background. The Duma has strict rules that they abide by when discussing issues and a large gong (based in the centre of the Duma Chamber) is used to maintain order.

Wording is unknown however it is a rule that requires senators to conduct themselves in accordance of their position.

Senators Terms

Senators serve 3 years after being elected to represent their region of the Basilean Hegemony and can be re-elected after the 3 years expires. If a senator is re-elected 3 consective times, they are given a lifetime appointment and would no longer need to be re-elected.
