Mantic donated 25% from the sales of each model to a charity chosen alongside Jesse’s family.

First Edition Biography

The world of Mantica is touched by magic. All speaking races, and some others, have individuals who can harness this raw, arcane power. Some are more naturally attuned and take to learning the art of spell casting with ease. To others, it comes much harder, even by fluke. Whether the talent is innate or the knowledge acquired, the perils of trying to master the phenomena which pervades the fabric of the world is well known. It takes a dedicated, determined and wilful pupil to learn the art of the mage

and not succumb to madness, the dangers of the Abyss or death from an unfortunate mystical incident… The Ogres have their share of spell-casters like other races, although they are rarer than those of Elves or Men. Ogre Warlocks are revered amongst the tribes of the Steppe and often fulfil the roles of shaman, witch-doctor and spiritual guide within the nomadic communities. Their skills are much prized by Ogre warbands and mercenary companies. Their guidance, lore and soothsaying provide a source of stability and direction, but it is their knowledge of fire-magic that the Ogre captains truly hanker for.

On the battlefield, Ogre Warlocks are often accompanied by their devoted and fanatical pupils and followers. They can draw extra power into their spell-casting, feeding on the presence of their faithful neophytes
