About

Brynn is a thick-built man whose hands had become rough from years of farming. It was said that Brynn's great grandfather foiled an Orc raid a long time ago or atleast that is the story that Brynn told.

History

Brynn worked in the fields for years before becoming Terwhane's leader. He was married to Lucille, who he smitten for since Brynn was a child, and as leader of Terwhane, his home was based in the centre of the settlement.

Ascent of the Goblin King

When Brynn came to get his daily update, Tam, good friend and head guard of the day watch, and Brynn saw a stag come out Whane's Weald and drop dead. Tam concerns were shaken off as a bit of paranoia and Brynn took him inside to relive him of his duty for the day.

After being bothered by some unpleasent dreams after seeing a stag fall down dead after coming out of Whane's Weald the night before, Brynn asked Tam to come with him to investigate further. Approaching where Brynn thought the stag was, they noticed a trail of blood leading deeper into the Weald.

Following the trail made Brynn uneasy. Upon reaching the carcass of the animal they discovered it was not eaten by wolves as Tam discovered the body of a dead goblin, Kulp, in the nearby bush. Brynn brought this news back to the village of the discovery and the potential a Goblin attack which was discussed with the villagefolk at the Terwhane Village Hall.

Understandably the people of Terwhane were alarmed as its been a generation since the last Goblin attack and it was devastating on the village. Brynn attempted to reassure the village and hoped they had an advantage that the goblins didnt know they knew they were there.

To prepare, they stored the harvest along with livestock in Terwhane Village Hall with the elderly and children who couldnt fight, then additional defences around the village but made it look like they werent to fool the goblin attack.

Raid of Terwhane

main article: Raid of Terwhane

When the Goblins arrived and began their raid, Brynn had already correctly predicted the goblin method of attack.Tthe village folk opened the gates and went out to meet the goblin charge. Hundreds Goblins attacked on foot and on Mawbeasts along with Cave Trolls.

When the Fleabag Riders were close enough, the village defenders revealed hidden spikes that impailed the goblin attackers. Mawbeasts started to eat the dead goblins and halted the attack until a Troll managed to break through, allowing infantry to attack the Terwhane defence line directly. Goblin numbers started to weaken and the battle looked intially positive.

As the battle continued, Brynn downed goblin after goblin and was hoping that he and his defenders could hold out long enough for the goblin attack to loose their nerve. Brynn rallied his defenders to focus on the attacking Cave Trolls, however as he gave the order to charge they were attacked unexpectedly from the rear by Fleabag Riders led by Gritter Fingernipper sending the organised defence into chaos.

Panicking, Brynn looked for his wife Lucille and spotted her back up against the fence wall surrounding Terwhane fending off goblins. Lucille waved at Brynn after hearing his shouts then was slammed by a Cave Troll, falling to the ground. Before Lucille could pick up her weapon, the troll plunged their massive broadsword through her head, killing her instantly.

Rage took over Brynn and he stormed towards the Cave Troll who killed Lucille with Tam shouting in a vain attempt to stop him. Despite his best efforts, Brynn was knocked to the ground, dazzed and scrambling for a weapon. Grogger Split-Tooth recognized Brynn from his scouting trip earlier and saw an opportunity to take him out for his own glory.

Death

Using two other goblins, including one as a goblin-shield, Grogger Split-Tooth managed to slit Brynn's sword wielding wrist, causing him to drop his weapon. As Brynn reached down to pick back up his sword, Grogger slashed Brynn's thigh, wounding him further. After one last weak strike attempt by Brynn, Grogger jabbed his dagger into Brynn's stomach then knocked him to the ground.

Grogger Split-Tooth quickly jumped on Brynn and drove his dagger into Brynn's chest, over and over, killing him.

Post-Death

Brynn's decapitated head was used to shock some young human prisoners that the goblins took after the battle
